I am Jing Li, a Chinese artist. Since I was young, I have been fascinated by ink and brush painting and have spent years studying contour and color. I use the traditional mediums of brushes and oil to create incredible art pieces.

I learned how to “write” in calligraphy using my feet as a teenager. After years of practice and formal learning, I developed an artistic voice through expressive hand movement.

Born and raised in Japan, I was exposed to art and pop culture at a young age. In the streets and the classrooms of my high school, I witnessed firsthand a wide range of graffiti styles. This experience directly influenced my decision to later study at the Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts, School of Design (Gimon).

I trained in an undergraduate program that shared my love for writing. I’ve been a writer ever since, crafting short and simple stories. I value structure, which lends itself well to the way I write. With an eye on quality, I practice editing and rewriting sentences multiple times until they are clear and precise.
